The Jawá, guardian of the threshold

The Jawá is the shaman of the Cabécar community — guardian of ancestral knowledge, mediator between the visible and invisible worlds. Keeper of a millennial oral tradition, passed down from generation to generation in the heart of the primary forest, his knowledge is a living treasure that defies time.

The ceremony he offers is a rare and profound experience. Under his guidance, you will be invited to reconnect with the essential: the breath of the forest, the silence of the stars, the wisdom of the sacred plants. A purification of body and spirit through ancestral rituals preserved for centuries.

"Each ceremony is a bridge between what we are and what we could become — between the noise of the world and the silence of the forest."

Cacao in the ceremony

Cacao holds a central place in this ceremony. Sacred plant of the heart, venerated by indigenous peoples of Central America since time immemorial, it is consumed according to ancestral traditions to open the senses and foster a state of deep presence and gratitude.

Far from contemporary trends, Cabécar cacao is prepared with the exact gestures of the ancestors — roasted over wood fire, hand-ground, mixed with forest plants. Its flavour is intense, its effect subtle and powerful. A gift from the forest for body and soul.

Each ceremony is unique, adapted to the group and the energy of the moment, in total respect of Cabécar traditions. No session resembles another — the Jawá listens, observes and creates the ritual that is needed.
