Rosa is a Bribri artisan passionate about calabash engraving and the natural dyes she prepares herself from local plants: turmeric for yellow, achiote for red, jagua for black, a plant locally nicknamed “forget-me-not” for blue, and many more. She also crafts seed jewelry that she dyes herself. She already shares her craft with children in local schools, and now welcomes you into her own home for a day of authentic transmission.
Engraving a calabash, dyeing it with natural pigments drawn from the forest, discovering seed jewelry making, sharing lunch with Rosa and her family... A full day, both human and creative, from 8am to 4pm, to head home with your own creation.
